Santa Rosa Online serves public education students in two ways in the Santa Rosa County School District: part-time brick and mortar students and full-time virtual students in Santa Rosa Online Academy.
Part-Time Brick and Mortar School Students If you are a student in grades K-12 enrolled in one of Santa Rosa County’s brick and mortar schools and want to take one or more online classes part-time in addition to the classes you are taking at your school, please check with your school counselor to determine what online course(s) to take. The Open Enrollment Period for making these decisions for the next school year begins on April 15 and concludes on July 31 of each school year. After the Open Enrollment Period closes, students will not be allowed to make changes to their schedules at brick and mortar schools without permission from the school's administration.
Elementary school students interested in the Elementary Acceleration Option may click here for more information.
Full-time Virtual Students If you are a student in grades K-12 and want to become a full-time virtual student in Santa Rosa County, please call Santa Rosa Online at 850.981.7860 to set up a registration conference with our school counselor, Paula Lowrimore. Both the student and at least one custodial parent must be present at this meeting. If this is your first entry into the Santa Rosa County School District, please bring with you these documents: -a copy of your birth certificate -proof of residency -immunization record -most current health exam -transcripts from your previous school district (if available)
At this conference, either the Coordinator of Virtual Education or Santa Rosa Online Academy’s school counselor will discuss with you and your parent the various virtual options/providers for your grade level.
