It is time to begin the process of requesting accommodations for students for ACT/SAT/PSAT and CLT. An accommodation request must be completed for all SWD and ELL students who will take tests outside of FAST/BEST/EOCs.
All students needing accommodations will need a completed Parental Consent (see below). Any SWD or ELL student taking the PSAT will need to apply for accommodations before school begins. PSAT will be taken in October, schools may choose a date between October 1st and October 31st.
Students who are juniors took PSAT last year and should have had accommodations approved, 10th grade students will need to have accommodations approved for the October test date.

Mental Health Issues
Blue Whale Game
Parents should be aware of the Blue Whale Game. It's a challenge to harm yourself for 50 days, resulting in suicide. Teenagers tag each other on social media, primarily SnapChat, and then challenge each other to play. The student then downloads the Blue Whale app, which hacks into their personal information and cannot be deleted. The app originators then threaten the teenagers with harm to their families or releasing of personal information until they kill themselves. Parents can learn more about this danger here:
